Indeed, if God’s people could get along without this scripture, we may be sure that He would not have taken either the prophet’s time to write it or space in the Bible to record it. Were it, in short, merely a mystical rhapsody of prophetic tenor without rime or reason, then it were naught but a piece of vain repetition, an imperfection — an impossible thing with God.
