@@@^Since there is general agreement that Inspiration direct from the Throne of God is our only spiritual eyesight, then we should be able to see eye to eye if we let the Spirit of God have His way with us. Especially so, dear fellow believers, since the time is dead ripe to look into the situation, now that God’s people everywhere are aroused by the questions:

@@@^What is more, should God send another than Elijah, that is, someone with a message other than of the great and dreadful day of the Lord, he will not claim to be the Elijah, he will not lie. Hence, for anyone to make the claim that he is the Elijah, but bear another message than that of the great and dreadful day of the Lord, is in itself positive proof that he is not a prophet of God at all, but a rank imposter. And if any should tell you that a former prophet has fulfilled the promise, although the prophet himself has not said so, then not to know for a certainty that such are not working for the God of Elijah, but for the devil, is Laodiceanism of the worst kind.

42:1

@@@^This is the greatest danger of all — even of believers. Thus plain it is indeed that “we have more to fear from within than from without. The hindrances to strength and success are far greater from the church itself than from the world.” — “Review and Herald,” March 22 1887. To say the least, those who are within should know better than to tempt themselves to steady the ark, as though God had appointed them to take His place and to direct His prophet, coveting not only the prophetic office but God’s authority as well! What an insult, not only to one’s own intelligence but also to God Himself!

@@@^“Say unto the house of Israel,” the church, “Thus saith the Lord God;... I will sanctify My great name, which was profaned among the heathen, which ye have profaned in the midst of them; and the heathen shall know that I am the Lord, saith the Lord God, when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes. For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all counties, and will bring you into your own land. Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you. A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. And I will put My spirit within you, and cause you to walk in My statutes, and ye shall keep My judgments, and do them. And ye shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; and ye shall be My people, and I will be your God.” Ezek. 36:22-28.

@@@^You can now intelligently make up your own minds as to what stand you will take. You may either take your stand with the opposers against Truth and reformation, or you may take your stand for God’s Truth with His messengers, and by reforming your own lives you may lead others to do the same. Whatever you decide you will know that it is your own choice. God, though, Who really knows what is best for your own interest advises you to follow Him to do what Truth instructs. I hope this will be your whole-hearted choice and thus the joy of your life, that you will never consent to be a “dead top,” but that you will anxiously decide to be a living “upshoot.” I also hope that none of you will let the enemies of God talk you out of these revealed truths on these men-forsaken Scriptures, for you already know that the opposers of the Truth have nothing official, nothing authoritative, and nothing logical or meaningful to offer you on these heretofore unrevealed truths. Yes, I hope that you will not trade these “pearls of great price” for rubbish and stubble.

@@@^We as Christians have obviously failed to note that if the secret things of God, matter not how simple, were to be unsealed at anytime by anyone, Inspiration would never in the first place have concealed them in symbols and parables. Christendom is still blind to the fact that to attempt to break into the mysteries of God would be to attempt to defeat His purposes; yes, to try to break into the Divine code, is to try the impossible. For example, even when the time did come for the Book sealed with seven seals to be unsealed (Rev. 4 and 5), no one in heaven or on earth was able to do so, but only “the Lion of the tribe of Judah” could break the seals and look into the things which afterwards were shown to John, the Revelator. And though John wrote them, he himself could not before time explain them. Then how can we do such before time and without the Inspiration of the same Spirit Who indicted them? The Word of God plainly warns:

@@@^Did you mark what Inspiration says? It plainly declares that the Scriptures are not privately interpreted — not without the Spirit of God in the man, not by the man alone, and not without God’s own appointment. And the reason given, you note, is the very fact that prophecy did not come by the will of man, but by the will of the Spirit, through “holy men of God.” This, brethren, is Heaven’s law and order. And who are we to change it? To put your trust in private interpretation is therefore to barter your soul to man. Concerning such a perilous practice, the Lord commands:

@@@^Thus in this all-revealing beam of Heaven’s great searchlight of truth are clearly set apart the “two ways for travelers” — the false way, pretentious and loose and broad, which the many are traveling unto destruction; and the true way, unpretentious and strait and narrow, which the few are traveling unto life. With both ways now standing flooded with light from beginning to end, the traveler is able to see the entire length of each way, and therefore to know what to expect by traveling the one or the other. Why not, then, choose to go the way which leads to life, security, and happiness, and forever shun the one which leads to sorrow, poverty, and death? Why longer fool oneself in venturing to obtain God’s faithful promises by running from a lo here to a lo there, from this quack to that one? Why not go after life’s blessings in God’s way? Of course all God’s ways are contrary to man’s, but if they were not, how much better would they be than our own? “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways, saith the Lord.” Isa. 55:8.

@@@^In the thoughtfully considered opinion of these eminent on-the-scene observers, this generation is at the zero hour of civilization. Whether we realize it or not, the day of doom is shortening its shadow, and we are face to face with the most momentous issues ever to confront a generation of men. Atomic warheads, lethal rockets, poison gas bacterial bombs, super-submarines boring through the mighty deeps, and supersonic aircraft stabbing through space above, — what mean these and other dread devices of destruction? What do these signs of the times portend for the Church and for all the world? Had the question flung itself at any generation in the days of God’s ancient prophets, then beyond doubt they would have answered: “As the Church lives, and as it is certain that God lives it would be impossible that He leave His people in darkness concerning the signs of their times.” And their answer must certainly be our answer, too. Moreover it is a self-evident fact that if we want to know, God will enable us to know the true meaning of these unprecedentedly destructive things.

@@@^“...Unless those who can help in ______ are aroused to a sense of their duty, they will not recognize the work of God when the loud cry of the third angel shall be heard. Let me tell you that the Lord will work in this last work in a manner very much out of the common order of things, and in a way that will be contrary to any human planning. There will be those among us who will always want to control the work of God, to dictate even what movements shall be made when the work goes forward under the direction of the angel who joins the third angel in the message to be given to the world. God will use ways and means by which it will be seen that He is taking the reins in His own hands. @@@^As present-truth adherents in the first-fruit period, may God help us all, Brother, Sister, to be either among or along with the first fruits, the 144,000. It is left to every one himself to determine his own destiny. And of this be certain, that the only unerring way of achieving eternity is in hearing and in following God’s voice; in making your decision in the closet of secret prayer; and in abounding in close and reverent study of revealed Truth for this particular time. Whereas the surest way of erring and of losing out is to give ear to the voice of men in the place of the voice of God.

@@@^Indeed how could it possible be otherwise unless “learned,” “great” men either humbly descend or never ascend that man-exalted but God-condemned throne upon which sit the mighty who never accept unpopular Truth, and who ever keep others from doing so, unless it finds its origin in themselves? What is more, only the foolish, never the truly great and wise, assume to mount that God-forbidden seat of self-importance. The truly great know this, they know, too, that God has never once been able to use the so-called great — the popular — as instrumentalities through whom to reveal and disseminate fresh Truth. Rather, we are told:

@@@^Do not, though, let anyone fool you into believing that the @9Recruiter@7 is calling you out of the Seventh-day Adventist Denomination and into something else. Such allegations and insinuations come only from those who are enemies of God’s eleventh, or Judgment-hour Truth, and who are therefore neither His servants not your friends. God’s servants get their orders from God, and friends are ever cautious not to push their friends into accepting propagated falsehood, especially when the Scriptures are under consideration. The plain truth about the @9Recruiter@7 is that Its mission is to make sure that you stay in the Denomination, and to keep you from being cast out, not by men, but by the Lord when He proceeds to inspect the guests therein and to cast out those who have failed to put on the “wedding garment” which the @9Recruiter @7brings.

@@@^By having instilled in rank and file throughout Laodicea an unprecedented fear and prejudice against reading or hearing anything but that which enjoys someone’s official sanction and blessing, Satan’s subversives have sought to sever the lines of communication between the Spirit of Truth and the people of God. Then to hold them in subjection to themselves and their worldly standards, they threaten with disfellowshipment and perdition any who, fearing God more than man, would dare venture to know the Truth for themselves. And the few who do have the courage to carry out their convictions, straightway in consequence become targets for the Enemy’s fiercest darts of opposition, — bitterest prejudice, scandalizing falsehood and character defamation, ridicule and scorn and hatred embarrassment and hardship. Thus “all that will live godly in Christ Jesus” (2 Tim. 3:12) find themselves “outcasts” (Isa. 66:5; Luke 6:22; Acts 24:14) at the hands of persecutive forces perpetuating and even outdoing the worst that was ever in Judaism and Romanism. And what is still worse, when these revivalists of tyranny, clothed in apostlelike robes, succeed in confusing and overthrowing the faith of an investigator or of a follower of Truth for this very time, they compel him to submit to rebaptism in order to be readmitted into church fellowship, even though he has become more faithful than ever before! What astounding blasphemy!

@@@^Ever remember that there are only two master minds in the world — the mind of God and the mind of Satan. We, as sinners, are born with the mind of Satan, and it stays with us until we are born again, born of the Spirit and with the mind of God. To do right, then, we must do the opposite of what our natural minds tell us, and we shall then be doing what the mind of God is striving to make us do.

@@@^You boys and girls lend yourselves unreservedly to God. He needs great men, and He can make you such. When you learn God’s way and become a responsible boy or girl as did Samuel, God will not overlook your zeal, integrity, and sincerity. He will give you something great for your reward. Yes, you will then indeed be great.

25:1

@@@^So the way Providence worked, it was that his brothers sold him to be a slave. Just then he recalled what the Lord had promised him in a dream — that besides his brothers, even his father and mother were to bow down to him. Can you imagine what a splendid opportunity was his to curse God when he saw himself on the way to slavery? He might have said, “Why should I serve a God that promises glory but instead gives humiliation, hardship and isolation?” But Joseph did as wisely as Job: By sanctifying God in his heart, he in effect said, “Though He slay me, yet in Him will I trust.”
